50 Years in the Trades: What We've Learned Building Homes on the Treasure Coast

Every home tells a story about the place it was built. After spending more than 50 years working construction throughout St. Lucie, Martin, and Palm Beach County, we've had a front-row seat to how this region — and the homes in it — have changed.

Where It Started: 1977

Our experience in the trades goes back to 1977, a time when much of what is now Port St. Lucie, Jupiter, and Palm Beach Gardens looked very different than it does today. Working construction here meant learning the specific challenges of building in a coastal, hurricane-prone environment — lessons that don't come from a textbook, only from time on the job.

Earning a General Contractor's License in 2003

After decades of hands-on experience across nearly every trade involved in residential construction, we became a licensed Florida general contractor in 2003. That license formalized what years of fieldwork had already taught: how to manage a project from the ground up, coordinate every trade involved, and deliver work that meets Florida's demanding building codes.

What Five Decades Have Taught Us

Florida Homes Have to Be Built Differently
Humidity, intense sun, and hurricane season all place unique demands on residential construction that simply don't exist in other parts of the country. Roofing systems, material choices, and even cabinetry construction all need to account for our specific climate.

Relationships Matter More Than Contracts
In a community where we've lived our entire lives, our reputation isn't built on a single project — it's built over decades of neighbors trusting us with their homes, and referring us to their friends and family.

Every Storm Season Teaches Something New
From hurricane damage repairs to helping homeowners rebuild after severe weather, each storm season has reinforced how important it is to build and repair homes with resilience in mind, not just aesthetics.

Staying Current Matters, Even After 50 Years
Building codes, materials, and techniques have evolved significantly since 1977. In recent years, we've expanded into specialized plumbing work, adding another layer of expertise to the full range of services we offer homeowners today. Five decades in this industry doesn't mean standing still — it means continuing to grow alongside the needs of the homes and families we serve.
